Some fun and helpful advice for parents of board gamers
‘nuff said. Registrations accepted starting 4/6/18.
Good news / Bad news.
Bad news – Sadly several of our returning attendees had to cancel because of conflicting family travel plans, and others on the waitlist had already made other plans.
Good News – The good news (for you) is this means we actually have a few slots open for Gaming Week 2017.
Visit https://gamingweek.info/registration ASAP if you are interested.
Gaming Week 2017 is confirmed. We’ve decided to Game On! We’ll be back this summer from July 31st through August 4th.

We’re doing registrations a little different this year. We’ll be taking registrations for the month of April and then will choose who can attend by giving priority to previous attendees and those who were on the waiting list in past years. Preference for siblings of other attendees will also be considered. We will decide on who will attend at the end of April and, if accepted, will request a deposit from you then.
Gaming Week 2016 filled up in less than 48 hours after we opened registration on April 9th, 2016. We already have over a dozen people on the waiting list as well.
We gave preference to previous attendees (and previous wait-list members), as well as siblings of former attendees. It was a hard decision to come up with the final list and we apologize to all the registrants that wont be able to attend.
We will be informing registrants of their status immediately but we wanted post here that any registration at this point will not result in getting off the waiting list.
All registrants will be invited to early registration for next years Gaming Week.

Also, FYI, our friend Ashley is running a camp the week following ours in the same location;
“At CodeMakers Club our goal is to have a first-look at how computer programs are made and experience what its like to think like a coder. We will learn the basics of programming (coding) through a series of short lessons and hands-on exercises designed to be fun and challenging.”

Dating back to the Victorian era, board games as we know them have been a popular form of entertainment for close to two centuries (though their roots stretch even further back in time). Sometimes seen these days as a low-tech version of computer-based games, board games have lots to offer within the realms of both entertainment and education. In addition to offering an exciting and engaging screen-free gaming experience, board games can encourage the development of essential thinking skills, as well as important content-area knowledge. From basic math skills to world geography, board games have much to offer – especially when daylight hours are short!
